PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Terrifying moments for Providence firefighters when the ceiling collapsed while they were dousing flames inside a burning, vacant building.

WPRI-TV (https://bit.ly/1ruQvsT ) reports that several firefighters were on the third floor of the Prairie Avenue building when the ceiling collapsed Friday evening.

Seven firefighters were taken to hospital for treatment of injuries that officials describe as non-life-threatening.



Firefighters had the blaze under control about an hour after it broke out.

Officials considered the fire as suspicious.
