COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Police say a child who was pulled from a swimming pool at a Columbus residence has drowned.
The Columbus Dispatch reports the child was about 9 years old and was attending a party Saturday evening at a home in the 4800 block of Manitoba Road. The child was unresponsive when pulled from the water.
Police say that when emergency workers arrived they found a person trying to resuscitate the child.
Police say the child was pronounced dead at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
A police dispatcher had no further details Saturday night.
