AROOSTOOK COUNTY, Maine (AP) - A fire and rescue service in far northern Maine will receive a nearly $125,000 federal grant to replace all of its air packs and masks.

North Lakes Fire & Rescue officials say the service will contribute $6,500 of its own money toward the purchase. The grant is from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

North Lakes Fire & Rescue serves four unorganized territories in Aroostook County. Its service area includes recreational and residential areas on Cross Lake, Mud Lake, Long Lake, Madawaska Lake and Square Lake.
