NORWOOD, Mass. (AP) - State police say a Rhode Island woman has died after the sedan in which she was riding was struck by an SUV that crossed to the wrong side of Interstate 95 south of Boston.

Police say the 58-year-old woman, from Foster, died in the 4:22 p.m. Friday crash, near Exit 11 in Norwood. A 62-year-old man from Foster, and 29-year-old man from Providence, Rhode Island, in the sedan were flown to a Boston hospital with serious injuries.

Police said two Quincy women in a second car also struck by the SUV also were taken to Norwood Hospital.



Police said the SUV driver, 53-year-old Charles Iarrobino of Foxborough, was taken to Norwood Hospital with minor injuries, and a 5-year-old boy with him was taken for evaluation.

The accident temporarily closed the highway during the afternoon rush hour.
