ROSWELL, Ga. (AP) - A medical examiner says a woman found dead near the Chattahoochee River died of an accidental drug overdose.

A death certificate from the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office states that 20-year-old Markeesha Taylor of Decatur died of an accidental methamphetamine overdose.

Roswell police say they’ve been searching for one of Taylor’s friends as they continue to investigate. No charges have been filed against anyone.



Taylor was found May 11 in the Vickery Creek area of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, just north of Atlanta.

Taylor was buried Saturday near Hulbert, Oklahoma. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (https://bit.ly/1tWaFtz) that she attended middle school and high school in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
