LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A man has been killed following an altercation with Lancaster county authorities at a home in southeast Lincoln.

Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner tells the Lincoln Journal Star (https://bit.ly/1jBWbYj ) that deputies were serving a notice to the man Friday to vacate the premises. He says deputies kicked in the door.

The Lincoln Police Department says deputies upon entry were confronted by an armed man. The man was shot and died of his injuries.



Lincoln police say they’re investigating the incident. The names of the deputies involved and the man killed have not been released.
