WAHIAWA, Hawaii (AP) - A Hawaii Army National Guard soldier died on duty while taking a physical fitness test.

Officials say the full-time National Guard soldier fainted Friday while taking the Army physical fitness test at Schofield Barracks. He was taken to Wahiawa General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The name of the man in his 30s wasn’t immediately released.



The cause of death is unknown.

He was a member of the Recruiting and Retention Battalion.
