CAMDEN-WYOMING, Del. (AP) - A 17-year-old boy is in custody following the fatal shooting of his grandfather.
Thus far, John Rash has been charged with assault in the shooting of 84-year-old Charles Semans. State police say Semans was arguing with his grandson on Monday at a home in Camden-Wyoming when Rash grabbed a shotgun and shot him.
Police say Semans died of his wounds on Thursday. According to police, the Chief Medical Examiner’s office conducted an autopsy on Friday and found that Semans died from the gunshot wound. However, police say the manner of death is pending further review, and the case remains under investigation.
Rash has been in custody since Monday. Along with assault, he’s been charged with possession of a firearm in a felony. He’s being held on $40,000 bond.
