CABOT, Pa. (AP) - Emergency crews say one person is dead after a vehicle crashed through the exterior wall of a western Pennsylvania hair salon, striking a waiting customer.

The incident was reported about 11:30 a.m. in Jefferson Township, Butler County. The driver of the car was reportedly a woman in her 70s who was arriving for an appointment. Authorities have yet to release the name of the victim.

The vehicle hit a business called Scissor Heaven, a hairstyling and tanning business in the tiny village of Cabot. That’s about 25 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.

State police troopers are investigating.
