NYC hosts 12-day celebration of design

NEW YORK (AP) - New York City is hosting a 12-day celebration of design this month.

The event called NYCxDESIGN will take place May 9 to 20.

It is a collaboration between design institutions and government agencies including NYC & Co., the city’s tourism bureau.

The dozens of events and exhibits include a show about Civil War quilts at the New-York Historical Society, an artists’ studio tour of Tribeca and an exhibit of eco-conscious Dutch design.

Events are taking place across all five boroughs.
