BARTLESVILLE, Okla. (AP) - Authorities say there will be no charges filed for now in connection with a fire that left five people dead in Bartlesville.

A statement released Friday by District Attorney Kevin Buchanan and the Bartlesville police and fire departments says investigators have been unable to determine exactly what started the Jan. 4 fire.

Killed in the blaze were 17-year-old Chase Wright; 18-year-old Destiny Jo Daughtery; 19-year-old Kevin Michael Lomax: 23-year-old Shelby Renea Sanders; and 38-year-old Jeremy Blair. The statement says each died of smoke inhalation.

Buchanan said there were several “persons of interest” in connection with the fire and that an investigation into how the fire started is ongoing.
