LAUREL, Miss. (AP) - A Jones County woman who allegedly shot her daughter Thursday afternoon has been charged with murder and is being held on $1 million cash bond.

WDAM-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1lMjfZ3) that bond was set Friday by Jones County Justice Court Judge Howell Beech.

Darlene Keys, 51, allegedly shot her daughter Robin Keys, 32, after a domestic dispute ended in gunshots.

Officials say the mother shot the daughter at a mobile home on Springdale Road east of Laurel after an argument.

Deputies arrived at the scene to find Robin Keys lying in the front yard. She was taken to a hospital for treatment of at least two gunshot wounds, but later died.

Darlene Keys admitted to reporters that she shot her daughter as she was being taken to the Jones County Jail.
