NEW YORK (AP) - The fire department says four people were critically injured when a New York City bus and an airport shuttle van collided in Queens.
A police spokesman says the drivers of both vehicles were in critical but stable condition at area hospitals following the Friday night crash.
Six men and two women in the van were also injured. Police say the bus was not in service and no one beside the driver was on board.
The crash happened around 10 p.m. at the intersection of Northern Boulevard and Prince Street in Flushing. Transit officials say they’re detouring buses away from the area.
The fire department says in all 10 people were hurt. Five injuries were serious but not life threatening. Another was described as minor.
