DILLON, S.C. (AP) - Deputies say they have charged two people in the killing of a Dillon County convenience store clerk during a robbery.

Authorities said 26-year-old Jauan Johnson and 28-year-old Treyon McLellan robbed and killed the clerk as he closed up the 20/20 Convenience Store on April 21.

Investigators say 29-year-old Abdalmanan Albarri died shortly after the shooting.

Deputies didn’t detail the evidence that led them to arrest Johnson on Friday or McLellan last week.

Both men are being held at the Dillon County jail. It wasn’t known if either man had an attorney.
