MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - The superintendent for the Orange Southwest Supervisory Union is Vermont’s superintendent of the year.

Brent Kay was chosen by the Vermont Superintendents Association. He is being recognized for his focus on promoting individualized learning, efficient fiscal management and overall leadership within the schools and communities that he serves.

He is one of Vermont’s longest serving superintendents, serving the communities of Randolph, Brookfield and Braintree since 2002.



He was presented with the Frederick H. Tuttle Superintendent of the Year Award at the association’s annual meeting on May 22.
