NEW YORK (AP) - The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says a train with no passengers derailed at the Tottenville station of the Staten Island Railway.
There is no service between Tottenville and Pleasant Plains.
The train engineer and conductor suffered minor injuries.
The agency says a car went off the tracks at 6:36 a.m. Thursday after hitting a “bumping block” at the Tottenville station. The block prevents the train from going further out of the station.
The eastbound train was about to begin its morning run.
