LONOKE, Ark. (AP) - Authorities in Lonoke County have arrested a 28-year-old woman on suspicion of manslaughter in the reported starvation death of her 3-month old baby boy.

The Lonoke County Sheriff’s Department says Lindsey Colbert was arrested Wednesday. Authorities say deputies were called to a home in Ward on March 13 on reports of an unresponsive infant.

The sheriff’s office says the baby was dead when deputies arrived. The sheriff’s office said in a news release that an investigation later found that the baby died because he was severely malnourished.

According to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (https://bit.ly/1muRXEN ), the state Department of Human Services identified the boy as Collin Stell.

Colbert remains in the Lonoke County jail without bond ahead of a Friday court appearance. Authorities did not know if she had an attorney.
