It is said that the eyes are the mirror of the soul. Have you ever looked into the eyes of our current president? Take any image of him, whether he is laughing, talking or in a state of assumed contemplation, and you will note that his eyes consistently mirror emptiness. This vacuum is related to his personal philosophies on life that cannot produce shared physical or even spiritual responses in others.

Such emptiness defines President Obama’s presidency. On his watch, we have experienced ongoing conflict and scandal, and he has deliberately distanced himself from the American people with overt behaviors designed to both anger and cause dissension in society. He has sought to distance himself with a brazenness unequaled by any previous administration, and he has accomplished this with boastful arrogance.

The president’s outlining of a new direction for military response and the overall preparedness of our national defense show blatant cowardice. His plans are designed to weaken our strategic advantage by allowing the enemies of our country to benefit from our weakness. The Obama administration’s recent exposure of the CIA station chief in Afghanistan is just one of many examples of its naive agenda.

Should Mr. Obama succeed in implementing all phases of his “vision” for America, the freedoms gained by the blood of sacrifice will disappear with the stroke of his pen.
