BANGOR, Maine (AP) - A judge is expected to issue a verdict in the case of a Maine woman charged with killing her husband in a jealous rage.
The verdict in the case of Roxanne Jeskey of Bangor is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday. Police say Jeskey used weapons that included a box-cutter, plastic baseball bat and pliers. Her husband, Richard Jeskey, was beaten and strangled in 2011.
Attorneys used an insanity defense in the trial of Jeskey, saying she developed problems after the removal of a brain tumor years earlier. The defense contends she suffered from seizures and psychiatric disorders.
Testimony was heard by a judge, not a jury, at Jeskey’s request. She faces 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
