WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) - A Weirton man is the West Virginia Lottery’s latest millionaire.

Hartzell “John” Lancaster was introduced at a news conference Thursday at the Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack.

He won $1 million in the May 17 Powerball drawing. He matched the first five numbers and missed the Powerball.

It’s the record 10th ticket sold in West Virginia this year from Powerball and Mega Millions worth $1 million or more.

Lancaster says he’ll use the money to take care of his family and save some for retirement. But he’s not done playing Powerball. He says he already has tickets for Saturday’s drawing, which has an estimated $173 million jackpot.
