TIFFIN, Iowa (AP) - Residents of the eastern town of Tiffin have been told to boil their tap water over the next three days.

The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports (https://icp-c.com/RB5DEj ) that the three-day boil order takes effect Wednesday.

The boil order comes as the town is replacing a defective mixer in a new water tower.

Town officials say municipal tap water should be safe to drink without boiling after Friday.
