THIBODAUX, La. (AP) - State police say a 35-year-old Napoleonville man has been booked with negligent homicide after allegedly causing a wreck on La. 1 near Thibodaux that left an 11-year-old girl dead and three others injured.
Trooper Evan Harrell says Jermaine Wooden was southbound Tuesday when he lost control of his car and it flipped multiple times.
Harrell says the victim, whose name was not released and who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the car. He says she was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lafourche Parish Coroner’s Office.
It was unclear whether Wooden has an attorney.
