DETROIT (AP) - Police say a woman is dead following a suspected hit-and-run crash on Detroit’s east side.
Officer Adam Madera tells The Detroit News the woman was found around 11:50 p.m. Tuesday. Madera says her identity wasn’t immediately known, but she’s believed to be in her 30s.
The Detroit Free Press reports the woman was hit once by a hit-and-run driver before being hit a second time by a vehicle that had stopped to help her. Police say the vehicle that stopped was hit by a third vehicle, and was pushed over the woman.
An autopsy is planned for Wednesday by the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office to identify the woman and determine a cause of death.
