MEXICO, Mo. (AP) - A northeast Missouri man is charged with second-degree murder and several other felonies in the death of his wife.

The Mexico Daily Ledger (https://bit.ly/SfGrDT ) reports that 34-year-old Ricky John Harding Jr. of rural Mexico was arrested Sunday in the death of his 34-year-old wife, Summer Hickman.

Authorities were called to their home at 3:49 a.m. Sunday on a domestic disturbance report. Hickman was found in the garage with a gunshot wound to the pelvic area. Police believe she was shot in the home but moved to the garage by her husband. Four young children were in the home.



Hickman was taken to a hospital, where she died about two hours later.

Harding does not have a listed attorney.
