MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Mobile police say an officer was justified in pulling his gun on a car full of teens who were involved in a high school prank earlier this month.
Police said in a statement that an officer was stationed at the exit of Baker High School the night of May 11 when he was responding to a call about trespassing on campus.
Authorities say those involved in the prank were trying to flee police and one car approached the officer without its headlights on. Police say the officer was in fear for his life when he drew his weapon on the car.
No shots were fired and no charges were filed against the driver.
Authorities say about 100 people in between 20 and 30 cars were involved in the prank.
