ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - Rapides Parish School Superintendent Tony Authement says two schools allegedly were caught cheating on the state standardized test, known as LEAP.
The Town Talk reports (https://townta.lk/1tOqFhk ) Authement would not disclose the schools involved, but he said they currently are under investigation for testing violations.
Should the investigation prove these schools violated testing procedure, Authement says the schools would then be subject to sanctions by the state of Louisiana.
Authement said the possible violations came to his attention shortly after the LEAP test was administered.
State education officials released statewide scores on the test Tuesday.
