FORT LEE, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a traffic crash on an approach to the George Washington Bridge led to a minor fuel spill and major delays.

Port Authority of New York and New Jersey spokesman Anthony Hayes says the accident happened shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday near Center Avenue.

Hayes said he did not know what kind of fuel spilled but said it is considered minor and would be cleaned up shortly after 8 a.m.

The crash led to the closure of two lanes and delays of about an hour for traffic heading into New York City.
