PEMBROKE, Mass. (AP) - Police say a woman with Alzheimer’s has died after wandering away from her Pembroke home and falling into a small pond on her property.
Police received a 911 call around 1:30 p.m. Monday from a Taylor Street home.
The elderly woman’s family said she wandered off and was found unresponsive in the pond.
The Enterprise (https://bit.ly/1htCdz1 ) of Brockton reports that family members performed CPR until firefighters arrived and took over. The woman was taken to South Shore Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The victim’s name has not been released.
