RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Police in Raleigh say a man has turned himself in to officers in a weekend shooting that caused a car crash.
Police spokesman Jim Sughrue says 30-year-old Rashand Nicholas Fitts turned himself in Monday and has been charged with murder in the shooting death of 24-year-old Travis Donovan Rhodes. It was not clear Tuesday in Fitts has an attorney.
Investigators say Rhodes was driving a car when it veered left, crossed the median and stopped on the other side of the road just before midnight Saturday.
Rhodes was taken to a hospital where it was discovered that he had been shot.
