COUSHATTA, La. (AP) - A single vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 71 just north of Coushatta has claimed the life of a Ringgold teenager.
Trooper Brett Davis says a pickup, driven by 16-year-old Nathan Mosley, ran off the highway, hit a tree and caught fire late Sunday night.
Davis says Mosley was wearing his seat belt, but died as a result of the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Red River Parish coroner’s office.
Davis says alcohol use is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
