MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - The leader of a school district for 12 years has been named the Vermont Superintendent of the Year.
Brent Kay of the Orange Southwest Supervisory Union represents the communities of Randolph, Brookfield and Braintree.
One of the state’s longer-serving superintendents, Kay was recognized for his emphasis on promoting individualized learning, efficient fiscal management and overall leadership.
He received the Frederick H. Tuttle Superintendent of the Year Award at the annual meeting of the association on May 22.
