Vermont wind project to hold open house

GEORGIA, Vt. (AP) - Vermont’s Georgia Mountain Community Wind project is going to be holding an open house and offering tours of its wind turbines.

The open house will be held June 8 from 1-4 p.m.

Last year, more than 750 people visited the site and dedicated the project.

The Georgia Mountain 10 megawatt project uses four wind turbines. It now provides about 8 percent of the energy demand of the Burlington Electric Department.
