TULSA, Okla. (AP) - The Tulsa Zoo plans to debut two rescued California sea lions this week.

Three-year-old Reyes and four-year-old Cisco arrived at the zoo last year from the Marine Mammal Center in California.

Reyes had lost his eye due to an infection while Cisco had an injury from a shark. The Marine Mammal Center rescued the two sea lions and nursed them back to health.

The Tulsa Zoo says it was determined that the two young sea lions couldn’t be released back into the wild. They arrived at the zoo last year.

They will be on exhibit for a few hours each day this week to become acclimated to their new surroundings.
