MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - A Memphis woman has been charged with attacking her boyfriend with a scalpel and slicing his face.

Memphis police told WMC-TV (https://bit.ly/1p8nqBw ) that Ashley Goodwin is in jail on a $20,000 bond.

Police say Goodwin and her boyfriend of six months, Terrance Montgomery, got into an argument Sunday. Police say voices were raised when Goodwin took out a scalpel and slashed the left side of Montgomery’s face.

Goodwin then took Montgomery’s keys and cellphone and left.

Emergency crews took Montgomery to the hospital where he was treated for non-critical injuries.

Jail records did not list an attorney for Goodwin.
