LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The third Nebraska Science Festival will be spread over nine days in April 2015.

Next year’s free science festival will run from April 10-18.

The event features an array of science- and technology-related activities.

This year’s festival, held last month, featured Animal Planet channel host and executive producer Jeff Corwin. Corwin explained the importance of environmental conservation by showcasing an American boa constrictor and such keystone species as an alligator snapping turtle, cane toad and American alligator.

Participants also were entertained by the Dancing Scientist, or Jeffrey Vinokur, whose chemistry demonstrations are set to hip-hop music and done while dancing.
