UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) - Police in Prince George’s County are investigating after a motorcyclist died in a crash with an SUV.
Police say officers were called Saturday around 6 p.m. to the intersection of Central Avenue and Cindy Lane in Capitol Heights.
Police say a preliminary investigation suggests the driver of the SUV was making a turn onto Cindy Land and failed to yield the right of way to the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police identified him as 24-year-old Allen Joseph Washington of southeast Washington.
The driver of the SUV was not hurt and stayed on the scene after the crash.
