CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago police say an officer shot and killed a knife-wielding man who had confronted emergency responders.

Police say officers responding to an emergency call for assistance from firefighters and paramedics shortly before 11:30 p.m. Saturday were charged at by the suspect before he was fatally wounded.

The suspect’s name was not immediately released.



None of the emergency responders or police officers was injured.
