HILO, Hawaii (AP) - Big Island police have charged a Hilo man on suspicion of attempted murder and assault in the stabbing of three people, seriously injuring one of them.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports (https://bit.ly/1niXZuM ) 28-year-old Vahara Mims was also charged Saturday with burglary, property damage and promoting a detrimental drug in the attack.

Police said Mims stabbed a man and woman outside a bar and another man at another location. He was also accused of damaging a car.



Mims remains in custody in lieu of $500,000 bail.
