SIMSBURY, Conn. (AP) - A pilot suffered minor injuries when his small plane flipped on its roof at a Connecticut airport.

Fire officials tell WVIT-TV (https://bit.ly/1jQv8y5 ) the crash happened as the plan was landing Saturday evening at Simsbury Airport.

Simsbury Deputy Fire Chief Mike Jepeao says the pilot had to be extricated from the plane by rescuers who lifted the rear of the plane. The pilot refused medical treatment.



The single-runway airport is located a few miles northwest of Hartford.
