NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police are investigating a party shooting late Friday in Gentilly where a 15-year-old boy was killed dead and seven others wounded.

Police said that in addition to the boy who was killed, four females and three males were shot at about 11:20 p.m.

Police have not identified any of the victims or released other details about the incident.



Detective Charles Hoffacker says when investigators arrived they discovered a 15-year-old boy shot. He died at the hospital.

Police say one of those wounded had one had surgery for her injuries. The others suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
