NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) - Northwestern State University will offer a class in basic ceramics beginning June 5.

The program is offered through the university’s Office of Electronic and Continuing Education. It will meet Thursdays from 6-8 p.m. through Aug. 7 at the Fine Arts Annex.

Cost to attend is $150 plus a $20 materials fee that must be paid to the instructor on the first day of the course.



The class will focus on an introduction to working with clay, including hand-building and sculptural techniques, as well as work on the potter’s wheel.
