BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Trains are being rerouted in the Mooreton area after a fire destroyed a railroad bridge north of Highway 13 late Friday afternoon.
Fire crews from Mooreton, Dwight, Wyndmere and Wahpeton battled the fire for about two hours.
Red River Valley and Western Railroad tells KFGO (https://bit.ly/SwrJZN) that trains will be rerouted while the bridge is replaced. It’s unclear how long that work will take.
The fire is under investigation, but firefighters say it may have started by someone burning debris near the bridge.
