EPPING, N.H. (AP) - The prom has been cancelled at Epping High School after alcohol was found at the event.
Superintendent Barbara Munsey tells WMUR-TV (https://bit.ly/1jODlCT ) that chaperones discovered two students with alcohol around 7 p.m. Friday, shortly after the prom had started.
A police officer at the event was notified and the school called off the prom.
Munsey says it’s unfortunate that a few students have ruined an important school event for so many students. She says for the students involved, “this is a serious matter and the school will take serious disciplinary action.”
