LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - McNeese State University will be the site of the May 26-30 meeting of the Crocodile Specialist Group.

The organization is an international association of biologists, wildlife managers, researchers and professionals involved in conservation of the world’s 23 species of alligators, crocodiles, caimans and gharial living in the wild.

Activities will include sessions on human-crocodile conflict, crocodilian behavior and reproduction, genetics, and biochemistry and physiology.



More than 350 experts from 43 countries are expected to attend the conference.
