FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - The boyfriend of a North Pole woman accused of killing her 18-month-old son faces charges of his own.
Robert Croskrey faces charges of evidence tampering, failure to report a violent crime against a child and drug possession.
Police say they searched Facebook messages between Croskrey and Amberlynn Swanson that showed both were aware of the injuries to the Swanson’s son in November and didn’t take him to the hospital.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports (https://bit.ly/1pn6Yud ) Julian Swanson-Byrd died of blunt force trauma and had been dead for some time when Swanson brought him to a hospital.
Swanson told an investigator Croskey had her son when he was injured.
She says she didn’t tell police this before because she felt she was responsible for failing to protect her son.
