INSTITUTE, W.Va. (AP) - Rep. Shelley Moore Capito has gathered experts on human trafficking for a summit on the subject at West Virginia State University.

Federal, state and local officials have been invited to the discussion Friday. The gathering follows the passage this week in the U.S. House of Representatives of five bills aimed at human trafficking.

Among the speakers at the Institute summit will be Lt. Daniel Swiger of the Crimes Against Children Unit of the West Virginia State Police and Emily Chittenden-Laird of the West Virginia Child Advocacy Network, among other professionals.
