MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - A Fair Haven man is being honored as Vermont’s Game Warden of the Year.
Robert Sterling received the award Thursday from Gov. Peter Shumlin in Montpelier.
Shumlin says Sterling was chosen for his professionalism, work ethic, dedicated training of new wardens, outreach to the public and his tracking and evidence work with his dog, “Rufus.”
Warden Sterling’s district includes the towns of Fair Haven, West Haven, Castleton, Benson, Sudbury and Orwell.
