NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Prosecutors say a U.S. airman stationed in New Jersey has been charged with possessing and sharing images of child pornography.
The Burlington County prosecutor’s office says Matthew A. Cavada of Pemberton Township was arrested Thursday and charged with child endangerment.
The 29-year-old is a technical sergeant with the U.S. Air Force. He is stationed at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.
Prosecutors say Cavada used a file sharing service to make child pornography videos from his computer available to others to download.
Investigators say many of the videos contained graphic images of pre-pubescent girls engaging in sexual acts with adult males.
Cavada is being held on $125,000 bail. It was not immediately known if he has an attorney.
