CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A tornado touched down in a remote area near Casper on Friday.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

The National Weather Service says the tornado was reported at 1:38 p.m.

Natrona County Emergency Management Administration Coordinator Stew Anderson tells the Casper Star-Tribune (https://bit.ly/1jEXSZc ) that he saw the tornado in an area of Casper Mountain believed to be largely inaccessible to the public.

The National Weather Service suspects the tornado touched down briefly the first time and for about two minutes the second time it contacted the ground.
