CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (AP) - Students and staff at a suburban Albany high school that lost two students in a crash two years ago are now mourning the accidental death of a teen who was set to graduate next month.
State police say the crash occurred around 7:45 a.m. Thursday on a road in the Saratoga County town of Clifton Park. Troopers say the 18-year-old driver apparently was going too fast when he crashed on a curve, causing his vehicle to overturn.
Police haven’t released his name, but officials at Shenendehowa High School have identified him as Hunter Cronin of Round Lake. He was scheduled to graduate in late June with the class of 2014.
In December 2012, two 17-year-old Shenendehowa students were killed when their vehicle crashed after being rear-ended on the Adirondack Northway.
